Mac OS Rumors reports that Mac OS X will contain a complete version of the yellow box, thereby giving developers access to the object oriented programming should they wish to use it. Furthermore, a letter from Jorg Brown to Macintouch has a great explanation of the OS X strategy and contains an image depicting parallel layers in the OS of BSD,Blue Box, Yellow Box, and Carbon.
