The Linux/Microcontroller Project has been working on porting Linux to processors without an MMU (Memory Management Unit). Their first goal, porting Linux to the PalmPilot, seems to have been realized.

SCO has a new DOS/Windows95 emulator for SCO Unix available for download.

Jerry Baker, head of Oracle's network computer unit, has resigned. This is being hailed as a major blow to the network computer initiative. The business world has not been quick to adopt NCs. A slashdot.org discussion sums up the NC controversy quite nicely. Take part.
