The big news from yesterday afternoon: the Department of Justice and 20 states filed an antitrust suit against Microsoft. MS has shipped Windows 98 and is planning to deliver to the consumer as planned. ZDNet has several articles on the clash. This could potentially be a watershed event in personal computing history, since MS could be forced to allow its hardware partners to freely customize the MS desktop interface to include Netscape with future versions of Windows.
