An NC World article covers recent developments is a longstanding case that Caldera (producer of an excellent Linux distribution as well as a version of DOS) has agains Microsoft. According to the article: "Most importantly, the precedent would create a shock wave that would
reverberate throughout the industry. A full Caldera win would prove that
Microsoft illegally tied DOS to Windows and that Microsoft used its
monopoly power to eliminate competition in the DOS market. "
An Andrew Stone editorial on RhapsodyOS.com suggests that Apple take the Grateful Dead approach to software sales and give the first version of Rhapsody away for free.
A Stepwise article extensively refutes Apple's claim that Rhapsody is and will be a server OS. Why is Apple saying that it is? To save face, because initially there aren't going to be a lot of Rhapsody native applications.
